Due to very wet field conditions, and forecast winds of 15+ MPH, we are unfortunately cancelling our Sunday, March 13 launch.
Our next event will be a building session, Saturday, March 19, 1:00 – 4:00 PM at the Woodstock Public Library, 414 West Judd Street, Woodstock, IL.
Our next scheduled launches will be Saturday, March 26, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and again Saturday, April 2, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at our Davis Road launch site.
The Fox Valley Rocketeers received word that our facility, Woodstock North High School, has been closed to outside groups. Therefore, regrettably, we are cancelling the Northern Illinois Rocketry Convention 2022 (NIRCON 2022).
We hope to be able to hold NIRCON in 2023, and see many of you there.
McHenry County is now reporting the highest number of COVID cases per 100k population in the history of the pandemic.
Thus, we are cancelling tomorrow’s planned building session at Woodstock North High School.
Due to wet field conditions and the wind forecast (17 MPH with gusts over 30 MPH), we are cancelling tomorrow’s launch.
