Given the State of Illinois’ “shelter in place” directive, we have cancelled the March 28, April 4 and April 11 launches. We will also be doing our monthly meeting electronically. Details about the meeting with complete instructions about how to join online will be sent to members directly by email.

We had nearly perfect weather for much of our August launch and posted 52 flights. For 2019, we’ve already flown more models than we did in all of 2018, and we have three launches left. Let’s see how high we can push our flight total this year!
Weather was good for the July 13 launch, and FVR’ers responded with 36 flights. Mike Moran continues his lead with 55 flights this year and an excellend 98% successful flight rate. We now have 281 flights in the book for 2019, 142 flights better than 2018. See you at the August 17 launch!
The Fox Valley Rocketeers had fantastic weather with mostly sunny skies and winds under 5 MPH. We flew a total of 55 flights, pushing our year to date total to 245. Mike Moran leads all flyers in 2019 with 45 flights.
As a club, since our founding, we have now had 4,998 flights, meaning someone one will fly our 5,000th rocket at the July 13 launch where we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission.
