Getting Ready to Fly:
- We do not charge fees at our launches.
- Please bring your own launch system and launch pad. Our range is run as “Misfire Alley”.
- To fly your model rocket, first prepare it for flight and get it ready on the launch pad.
- You are responsible for flying your rocket safely; if you have any reason to believe your rocket will not deliver a safe flight, then fix it or do not fly it.
- Fill out a “Flight Card” (available here or at the launch field) for each flight attempted.
- Present your completed flight card to the Range Safety Officer (RSO; the person with the florescent vest).
- The RSO will check the safety of the range, the sky above the range and then countdown for your launch.
- After launch, the RSO will make sure the range is safe and tell you when you can go recover your rocket.
Flight Cards:
- Here is a PDF copy of the flight card, which you can download, print out and cut apart (4 cards per sheet).
- For our NAR Contests, you will need a Contest Entry Form and Contest Flight Cards.
- Both kinds of cards will also be available at the launch site.
