About Our Launches:
- Our purpose and goal is to have fun while safely flying model rockets.
- You don’t need to be a Fox Valley Rocketeers member to fly at our launches and we do not charge any launch fees.
- Our launch sites are only available during scheduled hours. See our calendar for launch dates and times.
- All launches and events are held as weather and field conditions permit. There may be circumstances where we will need to reschedule or cancel events. Please monitor our Facebook page on event days for changes or cancelations.
- We fly under the Model Rocket and High Power Rocket Safety Codes of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR) using only commercially available, certified rocket engines.
- Our rocket ranges are under the control of a Range Safety Officer (RSO) who is legally responsible for range safety. Please listen to and follow any instructions given by the RSO.
- Remember that safety is everyone’s job. You know your rocket best; if you have any reason to believe it will not deliver a safe flight, then fix it or don’t fly it.
- Our range operates in a “Misfire Alley” layout. We ask you to bring your own launch system, launch pad and launch rod.
- We do not have any vendors, including HPR motor vendors at our launches.
- Our most important goal is to fly safely.
