FVR Public Outreach Programs:
- FVR hosts many outreach programs each year to encourage people to explore rocketry and to explore career ideas in engineering and science.
- FVR members have assisted all kinds of groups and organizations with their rocketry activities, including:
- Woodstock’s Challenger Center
- Woodstock Recreation Center
- Cernan Space Center
- Harper College
- Northern Illinois University (NIU)
- School classes
- STEM teachers
- Scout troops
- TARC teams
- We welcome Boy Scout, Girl Scout and other groups to come to our public launches.
- Our club is small, so in order to make sure we can accommodate your scout or school group, PLEASE CONTACT US IN ADVANCE to discuss how we can support your group.
- Several FVR members also volunteer with the “The American Rocketry Challenge (TARC)”. Full details about TARC can be found at www.rocketcontest.org.
