We are “GO” for launch Sunday BUT we are under the wet conditions protocol for the Hughes Farm Field.
DO NOT DRIVE ON THE GRAVEL ROAD THAT BISECTS THE FIELD!
Instead, please park on Dimmel Road in the grass ditch/side of road.

Longtime NIRA member John Barrett has donated his rocket collection to NIRA, but there are rocket left over and the Fox Valley Rocketeers have them! You can have a look at the collection at our October 14 launch. There are a LOT of rockets in varying degrees of condition, some with popped fins, many of which have the fins present and therefore repairable. We ask that if you take anything, you send John a thank you note; address labels will be provided for you at the launch.
Bob Kaplow has been displaying rockets as part of the NASA/JPL booth at the NIU STEMfest for several years now. This year, NIU is adding a maker faire, and asked Bob about displaying more rocket stuff. Bob is looking for more people to help out and bring stuff to display.
The event is at the NIU Convocation Center in DeKalb. The event is free and open to the public from 10-5.

If you can give Bob a hand, please email him at bobkaplow at yahoo dot com.
The Fox Valley Rocketeers August 18 Club Launch was well attended. We had 50 flights total, both sport and National Rocketry Contest. We also had lots of visitors who flew some great flights.
